For 20 years a small group of residents and other volunteers have done the land care and building work at Gembrook Retreat. From this slow growth has emerged our rhythms of work and prayer, and a increasing sense of the purpose of this place for helping to equip people to respond soulfully to the challenges of our time.
With 22 acres of native bush, orchards, flowers and fields to maintain, the upkeep of three buildings plus more accommodation to be built, we have come to the limit of what we can achieve by volunteers alone.
Help us to set up for more sustainable land management, create welcoming and accessible spaces for our guests, and have capacity to get more volunteers involved in the life-giving work, prayer and community life of this place.
