FRoGR working bees

  • Gembrook Retreat 215 Beenak East Road Gembrook, VIC, 3783 Bunurong/Wurundjeri country (map)

The Friends of Gembrook Retreat have a weekly working bee on Fridays to maintain the gardens at the Retreat. This includes our orchard of over 100 fruit and nut trees, the vegie patch and the healing gardens (the Indigenous garden, the Quaker peace garden, Maggie’s garden, and Harry’s tree), and the gardens surrounding David’s Cabin, Black Cockatoo House and the Meeting House.

At FRoGR working bees, members spend time watering, weeding, planting, pruning, mowing, fencing, netting and harvesting.

Members are welcome to join us at 10am for daily prayer, 10:30 for morning tea, and to bring lunch to eat afterwards at 1:30pm. The working bee starts at 11am.

Non-members are welcome to join in for a $5 donation.
